{"id":861,"date":"2022-05-03T13:42:54","date_gmt":"2022-05-03T18:42:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.humangroup.com.co\/?p=861"},"modified":"2022-05-03T13:43:01","modified_gmt":"2022-05-03T18:43:01","slug":"scrum-methodology","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.humangroup.co\/en\/scrum-methodology\/","title":{"rendered":"10 Elements and Scrum Methodology for Successful Projects"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Any well-known agile development system, such as the Scrum Methodology, to be successful should be integrated and articulated with our methodology centered on the human factor, the 10 Elements. At Human Group we think that \u201cthere is no <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">hard<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> factor with the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">soft<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> factor.\u201d In this case, Scrum, which has proven to be a very practical methodology in the implementation of certain types of projects, represents the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">hard<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> factor.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of the first Elements to be applied with Scrum when implementing organizational projects is to determine the Change Vision. This vision \u2013 as pertains to what it means for the organization to implement innovations in its strategy using Scrum \u2013 has to be understood by all the impacted stakeholders, especially the Project Team.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Applying Scrum when implementing corporate projects requires adjusting certain <\/span><b><i>cultural aspects of a traditional organization<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. That is due to the fact that Scrum \u201cis based on the collective intelligence of those people that use it.\u201d Constructing such a culture would require the support and <\/span><b><i>commitment of leadership<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to the new work methods that Scrum proposes. This leads to changing the traditional <\/span><b><i>governance<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> models that are used on predictive \u2013 waterfall \u2013 methodology projects. \u201cA predictive approach is useful when the project\u2019s and product\u2019s requirements and scope can be defined, gathered, and analyzed at the beginning of the project\u201d (PMI PMBOK Guide, seventh edition).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As you can see, introducing Scrum means redefining the four <\/span><b><i>core Elements<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: <\/span><b><i>Change Vision, Committed Leadership (Top Management), Change Culture (Understanding), and Governance<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In our next blog we will explain how the rest of the Elements should also be integrated and articulated on Scrum projects.
